New Taranis X9E is an excellent choice for RC pilots who prefer to tray-type transmitter.
FrSky is well known for their frequency hopping ACCST technology, that takes advantage of the entire 2.4GHz band, resulting in excellent range and reliability.
The transmitter is extended by next LCD color screen on top of the transmitter for a good overview, that displays basic functions of transmitter such as - transmitter battery status, signal strength, timers and etc. Completely new are ultra-smooth Quad Ball Bearing gimbals and for menu navigation, new rotation control button. Transmitter is also ready for expansion of additional switches and potentiometers.
One of the best features of the TARANIS is its full telemetry capability, as well as RSSI signal strength feedback, there are 3 different programmable fail-safe modes and receiver lock. Also the TARANIS utilizes Voice Alerts from an internal speaker for things like; audible Count down timers, low voltage warnings, landing gear down warnings etc.
OpenTX offers setup variability, updates with enhancements and a choice of languages for menus and voice feedback.
